As both a scholar and curator ella offers a unique model of artist support and advising combining conceptual, critical thinking with practical professional guidance and planning. from theoretical critique sessions focused on pushing your creative practice, to grant writing and access support, ella is a skilled, down to earth advisor, offering positivity and clarity for creative practitioners. We can have a one off session to recalibrate or plan, or book in some regular sessions for an upcoming project or to generate some creative rhythym.

Ella leads two types of artist residencies:
Kitchen Table Weekenders in the heart of Dartmoor National Park for groups of 5-6 with curator vashti cassinelli aimed at artists wishing to relax, recalibrate and refocus.

Push Your Practice 1-2-1 opportunity at a Devon riverside loft apartment aimed at artists who require an in-depth deep dive into their creative and professional practice. You can book this weekend of 1-2-1 as part of a longer research, writing or planning stay at the loft.
creative producing
I am an experienced project producer in the creative sector having worked on large scale cross-disciplinary projects, exhibitions and commissions. Whether you need a full on producer to deliver your aims and ambitions, or just a weekly check in to ensure everything's staying on track, I am here to help!
Ella has the interests of artists at the core of her practice. She has directly supported the development of my practice through diligent help with grant applications & neurodiverse support
access support
I have supported artists through the Arts Council England access support funding, and via the government's Access to Work scheme. Did you know that Arts Council England pays for access support when planning and writing your Grantium bids? You can also write access support into your project budget, and it will not affect your total. This support comes at no cost to you and includes help in:
- Organising thoughts
-Project planning
-Budget projection
-Writing
-Entering information into Grantium
-Delivering the project once live

mentoring
I specialise in mentoring early career artists. This might include practical work on your professional development such as portfolio overhauls and building towards a brand, guidance in what to read and where to research for your practice, or how to refine your conceptual frameworks through deepening your critical thinking. Sessions can focus on straightforward critical feedback and discussion, or focus on planning and organising.
